What are your job responsibilities?

My responsibilities include scheduling, purchasing and inventory for our Kay Dee manufacturing facility in Sioux City, and the coordination of our national sales and marketing efforts for Kay Dee livestock supplements.

What impact has your employment at Nutra-Flo had on your personal and professional development?

I have been able to learn about an entire new industry and how important it is to the rest of the country and the world. Before coming to Kay Dee, I was focused only on scheduling and purchasing; now I have an understanding of the complete manufacturing cycle. I attribute this to being part of a family oriented company where we are industry leaders, yet maintain a small business environment where everyone knows each other.

How does Nutra-Flo distinguish itself from other employers?

With its family oriented approach! We're not just a number here!

What activities do you enjoy away from work?

I enjoy watching my children in their many activities and spending time outdoors.

What are your job responsibilities?

I developed and currently run the central maintenance database (MP2) for Nutra-Flo’s manufacturing facilities. I design and construct new processes & equipment, keep the plants clean and organized, and work with different plant production processes.

What impact has your employment at Nutra-Flo had on your personal and professional development?

My skill managing employees at multiple plants with different backgrounds has improved, as well as, my working relationships with outside contractors. I have enjoyed the challenge of managing several large scale projects at one time. I have furthered my knowledge of computer programs and have learned to delegate work instead of trying to do everything myself.

How does Nutra-Flo distinguish itself from other employers?

Because Nutra-Flo is a family-owned company, you have more of an opportunity to bring forth new and different ideas. You’re not working for a corporate entity in a far away city with fifty or more people above you. My job offers a lot of variety in the type of work responsibilities I handle.

What activities do you enjoy away from work?

I enjoy exercise, sports and being outdoors. Hobbies include repairing or modifying autos, motorcycles and anything mechanical. I relax by reading, watching movies, and listening to and playing music.

What would you tell someone considering a career at Nutra-Flo?

What I've learned is to never say something can't be done! Just say, “Give me some time, and I will figure out how.” Also, don’t be afraid of getting dirty.

What are your job responsibilities?

My responsibilities are to operate, manage and maintain the production control panels for Nutra-Flo’s CPS and fertilizer operations, as well as supervising the off loading and routing of raw materials from trucks and railcars.

What impact has your employment at Nutra-Flo had on your personal and professional development?

I began my employment at Nutra-Flo unloading and loading trucks. I have since gained the experience and knowledge needed to advance to my current position where I enjoy the challenge and responsibility of being part of a manufacturing team that produces millions of gallons of fertilizer and thousands of tons of livestock nutrients every year.

How does Nutra-Flo distinguish itself from other employers?

Nutra-Flo is an enjoyable place to work. I enjoy the camaraderie of my fellow workers and enjoy being part of a fast growing company.

What activities do you enjoy away from work?

I enjoy my family most, especially taking the kids out for rides on the four-wheelers and dirt bikes. Our family intends on attending wrestling meets this winter to watch our five-year old son who just began the sport.

What would you tell someone considering a career at Nutra-Flo?

If you don’t like sitting behind a desk or standing in an assembly line doing the same thing all day, this is the job for you!
